Condition Guide

At The Pink Parasol, every pre-owned piece has a story. Our condition ratings are designed to give you a clear and consistent understanding of an item's overall condition before you purchase.

Each item is individually inspected, and we consider the exterior, interior, hardware, corners, handles, straps and other relevant components when assigning a condition rating.

Because every pre-owned piece is unique, please review the Condition Notes and photographs on the individual product listing for the most complete description of a specific item.

Excellent

Exceptional pre-owned condition with minimal to virtually no visible signs of use.

The item has been beautifully maintained and may show only very slight signs of handling, storage or previous use upon close inspection.

Very Good

Gently used and well cared for, with light to moderate signs of wear.

The item may show minor corner or edge wear, light scratches, gentle creasing, minor hardware wear, light interior wear or other subtle signs of previous use. Overall, the piece remains attractive and well maintained.

Good

Previously loved with noticeable signs of wear consistent with regular use.

The item may show visible scratches, scuffs, corner or edge wear, discoloration, creasing, hardware wear, interior marks or other signs of previous use. The item remains functional and suitable for continued enjoyment unless otherwise noted in the listing.

Fair

Well loved with significant or readily visible signs of previous use.

The item may show heavier wear, staining, discoloration, scratches, scuffs, shape loss, interior wear, hardware wear, repairs or other notable imperfections. Significant observed condition issues will be described and photographed whenever reasonably possible.

A Note About Pre-Owned Luxury

Pre-owned items are not expected to be perfect. Natural variations, patina and signs of previous use are part of the character and history of many luxury pieces.

Our condition rating provides an overall assessment and does not replace the item-specific Condition Notes or photographs. We make every reasonable effort to identify and disclose material signs of wear; however, minor signs of previous use may not always be individually noted.
